Job Summary

We are a leading construction company based in Lagos, Nigeria, specializing in large-scale projects and smaller construction jobs. Our team comprises fully certified professionals with extensive experience delivering high-quality construction solutions.

We are seeking an Admin & HR Assistant who will provide comprehensive administrative and human resource support to the Construction team. This role is essential in ensuring smooth operations and maintaining a positive work environment for all employees.

Job Description

Administrative Support:

• Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as needed

• Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence professionally

• Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes during meetings, and distribute them accordingly.

• Maintain accurate filing systems (digital and physical) for project documents

• Coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for staff

• Assist with preparing presentations, reports, and other documentation

• Provide general administrative support to the construction team as required

Human Resource Support:

• Assist with recruitment processes, including posting job ads, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews

• Maintain updated employee records and personnel files

• Coordinate new hire onboarding and offboarding processes

• Administer employee benefits programs and address queries

• Support payroll processes and timekeeping records

• Plan and organize company events, team-building activities, and employee engagement initiatives

• Address employee relations issues and guide company policies

• Assist with performance management processes, including reviews and feedback

 

Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field

• 2+ years of experience in an administrative or HR support role

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Knowledge of local employment laws and regulations

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
