Job Summary

The Head of Sales is a dynamic leader responsible for driving growth and market expansion in the FMCG sector. This role involves crafting and implementing effective sales strategies, leading the sales team to consistently meet and exceed targets, and building strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of market dynamics, capable of steering the team towards significant revenue growth and increasing the company's market share.

Job Description

1. Strategic Sales Leadership:

• Formulate comprehensive sales strategies in alignment with Emmanuel Bakeries’ growth objectives.

• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer behaviour to adapt strategies accordingly.

2. Team Management and Development:

• Lead and energize the sales team, setting clear objectives and KPIs, while fostering a culture of success and accountability.

• Identify training and development needs to enhance team capabilities and performance.

3. Sales Performance and Targets:

• Establish ambitious sales targets, closely monitor team performance, and implement necessary actions to mitigate shortfalls.

• Utilize CRM and data analytics tools for sales tracking, optimizing strategies based on performance data.

4. Customer and Market Engagement:

• Build and maintain strategic relationships with key accounts and partners to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.

• Expand customer base through targeted strategies, enhancing brand presence and market penetration.

5. Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with Marketing, Product Development, and Finance teams to ensure alignment on pricing, product offerings, and market strategies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; Master’s preferred.

• A minimum of 7 years’ experience in sales within the FMCG industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

• Demonstrated success in achieving sales growth and leading high-performance teams.

• Familiarity with CRM systems and data-driven sales analysis.

• Expertise in developing and executing successful sales strategies.

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.

• Exceptional relationship-building and customer service skills.

• Proficient in analyzing sales data to inform strategic decisions.

• Excellent communication and negotiation capabilities.
